i had a case of diverticulosis last year. lost blood but came out of
it ok. colonocscopy revealed diverticulosis, and i was given a set of
foods not to eat, nuts being one of them.

what about boiled peanuts, and what if i masticate well? if you
haven't had them, they are soft yet firm and would seem to me to be
digestable,,,,but i am not sure.

thx

I doubt that boiling peanuts will have much more effect on them than the
digestive enzymes of the upper gastrointestinal tract by the time they get
to the colon.

Peanuts/seeds/popcorn in diverticulosis as a cause of diverticulitis is a
little controversial. If you or your doctor believe that peanuts are bad for
diverticulosis, I doubt that it matters much if they're boiled.
